VISIONS OF A MORNING DREAM
Galloping a thousand heart beats
Did I catch my breadth outside the door
I closed it shut lest the beast run wild
Where in violent wait it guarded the gate
Chasing my soul, a bull the size of a boar
Strange yet small, my fear drilled me deep
Alas, another dream, a heartache scream
Early hours, I teased a demon’s ways
This time, vivid like the wet grey skies
A familiar storm brewed between my eyes
But doors are plenty, my hands reached out
I lept into a room, closed the doors shut
The beast was there, just a door away
Grab a stick, my third eye said
Oh mother, you are here asleep, trapped?
Your soul does rest in harms way
Forced to drink the poison of truth
I latch my hand against the door
Snatching souls, Hell’s interim watchman
A bull the size of a boar, lurking about
The door loudly thunders, the beast is here
Snuffs and puffs against the locks
Mother, it won’t enter, I’ll make it leave
A staff in my hand, my heart on my sleeve
Alas, my eyes have seen it all, a revelation
A vision from a morning dream,
Fear floats in my veins but a glimmer of light
The world calls to me, thus, I am awake
