GETTING OVER YOU
What happened to you?
Are you lost in the shadows of your past?
Afraid to stand in the light of your present?
So fearful to evolve
You’d rather avoid
You once stole these words from my mouth
Lasting relationships are built on love and respect.
When the wounds were fresh
I still searched for your messages
on an empty screen
I still scrolled through my calling list
Hoping I’d find a missed call
But I am past this too…
Now that you’re gone
without a goodbye
Every passing day
has me feeling less for you
Every silent night
has me dreaming less of you
Every distant thought
has me thinking less of you
Every second wasted
of you not coming back
has me getting over you.

Perfectly described relationships that don’t last and after it point it doesn’t matter. Loved the poem.
Glad you liked it, Natasha. Cheers Love!
