FROZEN ~BY JAYSON WILLIAM ALLEN

FROZEN

My stone-dry mouth
and tear-stained cheek
I feel like I’m a disease
bleeding sorrow and words left unsaid
a lifeless existence from the truth I’m fed
a life once lived inside a mirror of time
my reflection is just not mine
it’s time to say goodbye

now’s the time for the end of my life
as the Autumn dies, I say goodbye

My cryptic thoughts create hell
What could I do when I knew I’d fail
with my last breath, I’ll speak your name
my final cry for your embrace
your silent tongue from the lies you taste
so, for now, I’ll make a bed inside my grave
it’s time I say goodbye

snowflakes falling freeze my eyes
cold crystal ground I say goodbye
I rest my head and let the pain die
peel off my skin to reveal my scars
this pain has finally gone too far

now I’m hanging here
as the rats claw at my feet
all of this for your deceit
you let the snake bite down on me
now I’m inside this sleep
so just let me sleep
this gun will help me sleep

frozen in time
the pendulum stops when I die
frozen in time
the pendulum stops when I die

Now’s the time for the end of my life
as Autumn dies, I say goodbye
snowflakes falling freeze my eyes
cold crystal ground I say goodbye.
