TREMBLING SKIES ~BY OUMEIMA MOUELHI

TREMBLING SKIES

Squashed dreams made sometimes alive.
Faded voices from beyond the horizon,
emerge and dive.
Trembling skies falling one after the other,
for a sick humanity,
for enduring lies.
For every flaw,
there’s always a price to pay.
To the flow of rotten existence,
No one can stop,
all are subjugated,
Only a few can survive.
Paradise is crying,
the chandeliers of lights above,
turned dim,
made grim.
Sounds of mourning have reached the earth,
Pierced the ears,
blurred the eyes.
Soon, the dead will wake up from their long sleep,
to scrub,
What’s written on their tombstones,
again, another lie,
another sigh.
Buried underneath, criminal souls,
Sordid deeds in deserted holes.
Souls, we once thought were blessed
Figures, we once deemed were best
In the midst of flowing images,
Shaken, I suddenly woke up.
Methinks, it was a nightmare
Wherein my vision was impaired.
