THINKING OF YOU
In secret, hearts beat as one,
Longing to be together, under the sun.
But fate and circumstance conspire,
To keep apart, hearts that deeply desire.
In hiding, love’s flame burns so bright,
A beacon in darkness, guiding through the night.
Tears fall like rain, for what could never be,
A love so strong, yet forbidden to see.
Oh, destiny, is it not time to unwind,
The threads that bind, and set free this heart and mind?
Oh, God above, can you not see,
The love we share, and set our hearts free?
In dreams, I see your face so clear,
A vision of hope, a love that casts out fear.
Though worlds apart, our hearts entwine,
In a love so pure, so strong, so divine.
So I’ll hold on to hope’s glimmering light,
And pray that someday, our love will take flight.
That destiny and God will conspire to bring,
Our hearts together, in a love that will sing.
