INEXPLICABLE
Trapped under a
Stonehenge
I crawl out from the
Ground my hands are
Bleeding,
My feet drag and
Moss begins to grow on
my shoes
And bugs crawl over my toes
I’m laying on a bed of
blackberry thorns
My arms are tied down
I can’t get untied
I’m awake again
There’s a flash of pain
I turn to my left
My arm is missing
My arm is missing
I’m in a pool of my own
Blood
I can’t breathe-
I can’t breathe-
Why can’t I breathe?!
I hold a knife
My clothes are soaked
There’s someone lying in a
pool of red
Flies circle
The face changes
My mother
My best friend
My neighbor
My aunt
My brother
The face changes
I don’t know if I’ll-
Scream or
Laugh
The face changes
I Puke my guts out
Wake up again
I’m looking through the
Foliage of trees
There’s a web
A spider’s web
Droplets of water
Drip from the delicate
Threads somehow I’m able to smile at it
I wake up
I’m home
Alone in my bed
Classical music playing
through
My radio
It’s cold but I have
A mountain of blankets
draped over me
I can’t go back to sleep.
