SMUDGE ~BY SHARON CROSSLAND

Before I met my fur mum
I was hungry, cold and sad
I had no home to live in,
And things were looking bad.

One day I saw a lady,
I gave my best miaow,
She looked right up and saw me,
But would she help me now?

I got my answer quickly,
A bowl of food was brought
I looked at it so hopefully,
Was it really mine I thought?

And yes, it really was for me,
A half a bowl I ate,
Was I allowed to finish it?
Yes I was, how great!

I now live in a cosy flat
I’m no longer so alone
I am so very happy here
In my real ‘furever’ home.

This is how my partner and I came to give Smudge a home!
