WHEN FRIENDS FIND EACH OTHER ~BY THERESA NEMETH

WHEN FRIENDS FIND EACH OTHER

When friends meet at first glance, do they speak with their toes

and frown with their smiles and greet with elbows?

Found deep in the dust

and lingered from trust –

this is where friends find each other.

With eyes like the skies and a glow like moonlight

do fickle friends wince and fancy friends fight?

Met between stars,

from wounds and deep scars –

this is where friends find each other.

Beauties that bathe and basque in their sound

of cheerful glee made and etiquette bound

from ties between kin

and friends once again –

this is where friends find each other.

Kisses and tells and love fairytales

in moments of bliss and gaudy ravels,

through thin and thick lust,

of wine and thick musk –

this is where friends find each other.

From petty disdain and justice gained

do brave kindred meet between dangerous feat?

With strides long and tall

and faith in them all:

this is where friends find each other.

words of wonder clasp onto each lip

with listening eyes and motioned hips

each step at a glance,

a pace and a stance –

this is how friends find each other.

How friends confide,

the love that they hide,

distilled in the air,

and given with care:

this is how friendship finds kin.
