SOLITUDE’S SERENADE
In shadows cast by strictest light,
She walks alone, away from sight,
A heart encased in walls of fear,
No touch, no love, no comfort near.
Her steps are silent, whispers soft,
In solitude, she finds aloft,
A peace that blooms in quiet song,
Where melodies can right the wrong.
Yet even here, where music swells,
A ruptured drum, a tolling bell,
A reminder of fragile grace,
In moments found, in sacred space.
For love’s embrace, a daunting art,
A puzzle piece, a tender heart,
She finds her peace in silent night,
Away from gaze, away from fright.
And though she yearns for love’s embrace,
The echoes of a stricter place,
Still haunt her steps, still bind her will,
To walk alone, in silence, still.
