OUR NEMESIS AND YOUR LOVE
Let my wraith fall upon the sinning rats
you share love and time with, only to burn me inside out.
Let us bathe in their blood for the way we loved,
like the dwindling snakes intertwined, biting each other to live without.
Walk them to the part where you plan my perfect vain murder,
for the heart I shared, and the souls you mourn and find joy.
I cry for the devil and its love,
unlike you smiling at your blinding God for the happiness repaired after our love’s harmed.
You loved me as your shadow amidst the crowd of your fellows—
my nemesis and my failed gift of all.
