FATHER! ( A TRIBUTE TO MY DEAREST FATHER) ~BY OUMEIMA MOUELHI

FATHER! ( A TRIBUTE TO MY DEAREST FATHER)

Just Thinking about you, thinking about writing to you and for you,
My tears come rolling down, cutting me in pieces, running, ruining me as I do
Gone are my words, paralyzed become my fingers if I mean to write a single word
As I remember that you were my whole world…

Father! To you, the hardest poem I may ever write
Right here, struggling to make my life right,
Long distances you might have gone away
Yet I’m still waiting trying to find my own way

Crossing my mind in my every single move,
An image of your face smiling, sparking, sparling, you my treasure trove!
Settled as I’m unsettled, forceful as I’m forceless
Who would ever give a meaning to a life, now, senseless?

Father! Love you like nobody ever did!
Love you the size of the skies and the earths allied
Love you till extremes meet
Love you till the stars above reach my feet.

A day without you in here’s worth an eternity!
As I’m rising and falling missing your long-lived security
Resisting, surrendering, racing with destiny
Longing to relive a life of serenity

You’re the greatest love I’ve ever known
Still feeling you even when lying in your tombstone
My ears never stop rejoicing in your laughter and voice tone
Too strong as I’m weak, to your empty space, I atone

My sorrow and happiness you make
My agony and felicity you quake
In your absence I realize it’s your departure that truly aches
Leaving behind all the grieves that came to shake

Always present however absent I feel you around
Feeling calm however burning, bleeding I might be inside
No more does your passing away turn my life upside down
As I know for sure one day, I’ll see you in a celestial world;
Between God’s hands, the divine!

To the end of time Daddy….
