BLACK CAT ON THE RAIL ~BY THERESA NEMETH

BLACK CAT ON THE RAIL

Skittish White Whiskers

And Sunken Down Hips.

Frisky In Frolic

And Bitey In Nips.

On Twinkling Paw Pads

Trickling The Floor

The Slinky Black Cat

Is In Total Adore.

A Hiss To The Hiccup

A Swoon In The Spry;

A Midnight Born Kitten

Alive In The Night.

Fencepost To Doorstep

He Peddles And Cares

To Know A Bowl Of Milk

He Struttingly Dares.

Fair In The Moonlight

He Coddles His Prey.

And With Great White Fangs

He Ends Its Dismay.

Solitary Hunter

Alone In The Dark:

His Wailing Unnoticed

Bare In All – Stark.

He Catches His Balance

Upon High Unveil:

The Cat In the Window.

The Cat On The Rail.
