BEHIND THE LINES
You’re my home when I’m homeless
My words and symphony when am speechless
Nearer to me than myself
Closer to my heart than my poems on the shelf
You’re every beautiful thing around
My hope and strength you surround
Finer than every song I write
Brighter than all the lights blurring my sight
Tell me how it all came through.
Unexpectedly expected you crossed my avenue
Darling near you I see my happiness
Filling my heart after a long emptiness
Who could ever tell behind a word in a line, a smile after a cry
We would fall hard for each other and fly
My pearl and peace you are, my crystal and star shining in the sky
My day and night you are, my most charming lullaby!
My greatest passion and inspiration you seal
My heart and lyrics you steal
This love I’ve been trying to conceal
A love that feels so surreal!
