ALAS, IT WAS JUST A DEMON
The daily anticipation,
The ever-lingering hope,
The hope of meeting him,
Like a child, yearning a mother’s embrace,
Waiting for just that moment,
Alas!! It was just a demon.
The unanswered calls, messages
The silence, restrictions
The demon would have departed
Nothing absolutely nothing happens in its absence
The sober mind can never be that demon
The echoes of his confession
Continue ringing in her ears
A confession so unwelcome
A confession so hurtful
That ears can be deafened
Confessing he only meets her
when he is possessed
Though for a short time
They seem to be of the same mind
Memories made forever will she hold dear to her heart
Not too sure about him
Regrettably, he was just possessed
