A LITTLE MORE
Walking all day on the rugged terrain
till my feet get sore,
I say to myself “Let’s call it a day
next time I shall go a little more”.
Swimming in the river
trying to reach the shore
till my limbs can’t take enough for today,
next time you can go a little more”.
Taking all blows of life
till I think I cannot take anymore,
within me echoes again: “Man,
have patience a little more”.
When at times nothing goes my way
and I cannot hold my emotions any more,
the voice tells me again:
“Be strong a little more”.
“A little more” took me to new heights
that which I did not imagine before.
Who knows one day we may reach the infinite,
while going just a little more.
