THE SILENT CRY ~BY ARYAN MAURYA

THE SILENT CRY

I long to leave this place,
But something holds me back.
They say I’ll fade away
If I don’t change my track.

My body is a cage,
My bones are sharp and frail.
Sometimes I binge for days,
Other times I make myself pale.

I have no shape or curve,
They say it’s my fixation.
You need to fill your nerves,
Why do you choose this isolation?

I’m like a shattered toy,
Just full of cracks and scars.
Who could ever love this boy,
I hide behind my clothes and bars.

I pretend to be like them,
But they don’t see the real me.
They judge me by my stem
And the food I flee.
So when will this nightmare end?
Will it be with my skin, bones and bile?

I wish they knew how hard it is
To fight against your body
To feel like you exist
And not just be a nobody.
