THE COVEN AND TEA~ BY ANGELINA ROLSTON

THE COVEN AND TEA

A witch of the name Misty,
A kitchen witch,
Just arrived at St Tropez in France,
She,
Whose hair was coloured with the sun’s golden rays,
who wore earthy tones,
Layers of chiffon,
Platform boots,
And a flowing dress adorned with lace

The first glimpse in her sight,
A beautiful night sky black cat,
As she walks,
Stepping on the green leaves of autumn,
She arrives at a sacred grove,
A serene clearing in a forest,
Surrounded by ancient trees planted by past generations

She meets three other women,
witches that embody
magic,
and nature,
They all had curly locks,
Short and long,
Misty had learned all about her fellow coven,
Sable with golden blonde hair,
Sable who was a shadow witch,
She,
harnesses the power of darkness,
Mystery,
and the unseen realms,
Next,
Esmeralda,
Who has purplish lavender hair,
She who was the enchantress,
Skilled in the art of casting spells and charms,
Lastly,
Willow,
With the earthly grass-coloured green hair,
She was a green witch,
Connected to nature,
Herbalism,
And plant magic

As they sit down with their legs comfortably on the grass,
They gather into a circle casting,
To contain their energy,
And protect their space,
They now call upon the energies of the elements,
Earth,
Air,
Fire,
And water,
They all now sit,
Visualising and manifesting to receive or give

Now working together,
Casting spells for healing,
And,
Protection,
They all go in turns now,
To speak of what they want,
Misty first up,
She asks out hoping to create,
Delicious meals and brews,
Infused with magic,
To sustain and uplift their coven members,
Willow’s turn now,
Seeking guidance from the spirits,
of the forest,
And the wisdom of the old trees,
Sable,
Need for desire,
and protection,
Asking for empowerment in navigating the unseen realms,
Now the last member,
Esmeralda,
She wishes for love,
And harmony,
Desiring to weave spells,
of compassion,
and understanding,
To mend relationships,
And foster unity within the coven
Misty slowly,
Lighting a candle,
While drinking tea,
Representing their wishes,
Now all the witches go into meditation,
Slowly letting go of their body weight,
Their traumas,
Their emotions,
And only thinking of their breath and their desires

After a day of witchcraft and bonding,
Misty heads to her magical orange cottage filled with sunflowers,
And cats,
Misty starts feeling very light-headed,
As if her throat is closing,
She is itching everywhere,
She is gasping for air,
Suddenly, she realizes she’s not alone,
For the other witches feel the same,
Gasping for breath, clutching their throats,
The tea, the innocent tea they all drank,
Given to them by Sable, their trusted leader,
Was tainted,
Betrayal seeps through their veins,
Sable, the one they trusted most,
Was the betrayer,
As darkness closes in, Misty whispers,
Watch out,
Keep your eyes open,
Beware of Sable’s poison.
