SILENT CONVERSATIONS WITH YOU
A TRIBUTE TO MY LATE MOTHER
In those quiet moments when the world settles down,
I find my thoughts intertwining with yours, all around.
They fill the empty spaces of my longing heart,
Creating a tender ache that never wants to part.
Oh, how I wish to have one more conversation,
To share dreams, worries, without hesitation.
The joys and sorrows of my fleeting days,
And bask in your wise and comforting gaze.
I’d tell you how the world has changed and grown,
Sometimes feeling lost and alone on my own.
But in those times, your memory is always near,
Guiding me, keeping my pathway clear.
I’d speak of love, its twists, and turns,
Lessons learned, hearts that fiercely burn.
Friendships forged with laughter and tears,
And how your strength still calms my deepest fears.
I’d ask you for the secrets of your graceful ways,
How you turned dark nights into hopeful days.
Where did you find the strength to carry on?
How did you greet each new dawn?
And oh, the little things I’d love to share,
Simple joys, moments free of care.
A song that lifts my spirit when I’m blue,
Or a book that brings me back to you.
I’d seek your wisdom on the paths I tread,
Choices I ponder with a worried thread.
Your voice, a soothing balm to my restless mind,
Your words, a compass, true and well-aligned.
In dreams, I often see your gentle smile,
For a fleeting time, it’s all worthwhile.
I share all the things I long to say,
And in that dream, my worries fade away.
Though you are gone, your spirit’s always near,
In every beat, in every whispered cheer.
I’ll hold our talks within my heart’s embrace,
Until we meet again, in timeless grace.
