CAPE OF GOOD HOPE
South Africa, the jewel at Africa’s toe,
The land where Madiba’s legacy flows.
Biko’s dreams carved deep in the earth,
Shaping a nation, redefining its worth.
Tutu’s call for unity rings clear,
A plea for togetherness, sincere.
Yet in this land of diverse hues,
The concept of Africanism remains askew.
Africanism is not a veil for disdain,
It’s not racism’s hidden chain.
Though foreigners find kinship here,
The notion of belonging can feel unclear.
The Cape of Good Hope stands with pride,
Yet its meanings often collide.
Unity in diversity is a quest,
Not always easy, but a vital test.
Embrace the heritage, the past’s deep scars,
Honor the journey beneath the stars.
Africanism is a call to unite,
In the rich, complex tapestry of night.
