LIKE A SUMMER BREEZE ~BY OUMEIMA MOUELHI
Like a summer breeze
When you tease
I thought my feelings frozen
Yet you made them rosen
Like a summer breeze
When you tease
I thought my feelings frozen
Yet you made them rosen
In shadows deep, my soul does weep,
A lament of sorrow, buried deep.
Each day a struggle, each night a fight,
In the abyss of darkness, I lose my light
She said « a little word to God is a prayer »
To the rays of light in prospect, she thought she was aware
She looked up to the sky and stared,
Nothing made her as much assured,
except that in her heart despair was no where
she’s always believed in a better tomorrow,
A run through the soft, golden sand
The sun’s radiant rays
Yellow hues shimmering through savouring succulent fruits
Sun’s gentle kiss bestows a tan
No sunburns,
Just warmth
People’s hearts broke
In a glimpse, it is to invoke
The concern it woke
It’s raining joy in your eyes
It’s raining fun in your endless smiles
Think about our laughter and talks and you’ll feel about the skies
Sink in our teasing and secrets and your soft spirit will even rise
You’re my home when I’m homeless
My words and symphony when am speechless
Nearer to me than myself
Closer to my heart than my poems on the shelf
