She sat on the bench, just second from first,
A girl full of dreams, with a curious thirst.
No glasses, no noise – just books and some grace,
Then one day, he walked in… and stole her space.
He sat far behind, last bench, row three,
Still, he was the only one she could see.
Eyes like a storm, and a laugh like a spell,
In that moment, she stumbled… and silently fell.
She once lived life with no rules, no plan,
But then she changed, all for this man.
From notes to NCC, she tried everything
She lost herself to match his string.
From formulas and facts, she drifted away,
To learn his world, to brighten his day.
She learned Assamese — word by word,
To confess her feelings, in a whisper unheard.
At 11:11, she’d silently pray,
To be with him… maybe someday.
Wishes on stars, and coins in a well,
She gave it her all — but he never fell.
He smiled like sunshine, but never saw rain,
She laughed through the silence, swallowing her pain.
For him, it was school, just another phase,
For her, it was love — lost in a maze.
He didn’t fall, not even a bit
While she kept sinking, bit by bit.
It wasn’t love, just her solo trip
A one way ride on a sinking ship.
She fell in love, so pure, so deep,
While he just walked on, fast asleep.
Not every love finds its place to dwell…
She fell first… but he never fell.
