TOAD HIDE TOAD
Bounds And Leaps Among Labyrinth Feet
Who Pounce In Each Step Toward The Wise And The Meek
And In Tepid Waters Do Torrent New Tides
Of Heat In Disbursement Where New Fortunes Rise.
Prisms In Colors Unseen By The Eyes.
For Blood In New Memory: Electricity Hides.
Faint From The Grasp Its Audible Clench:
Cranking Mechnically: Impossible Wench.
Lucid They Find Themselves And Them Naught;
And Sometimes Availed They Naught Where They Ought;
And Then In Swoon Moments They Forget Themselves –
And Turn To The Toad Where In Great Forests Dwell.
Sword In The Stone By The Plastic In Bone
And Prey Does The Mantis Where Feral Alone.
In Current Is Time Wherein Place Do Its Manner –
The Insectuous Hide Where Worms Do Their Banter.
They Eat Of The Ant, The Pedes And The Mite,
In Toxin Secretion Make Peril In Fright.
Abode Of The Dead And The Un Therein Tare
A Fortune: Unlife In Calciferous Fare.
The Frog And The Toad Mingle And Make
And In Great Stake Untidingly Take:
By Feet Of Battalion And Torturous Gaze –
By Webbed Feet In Meticulous Maze.
They Rise From The Dead Where They Fall From The Skies.
And Lichen Inbred, They Foretellingly Rise.
At Peaks Of The Grave They Take In Foul Manner
A Sanctity Had By Culture And Banner.
Across The Stars: The Noble And Pride –
With Each Great Stripe And Always Great Stride –
Finds Freedom Yet Do They And Their Race
By Unyielding Heart And Steadily Pace.
Toad Hide Toad,
And Frog Dismay –
In Amphibious Wage:
A Failed Appliqué.
Where Light Lay Bound It Do In Good Earnest,
And Fortunes Found The Malevolent Cherish,
And In Great Binding It Limps And Obeys,
And Unveils The Auction Wherein Tempest Lay.
